What we install

The right film for every window.

Each film is chosen for the glass it's going on and the problem it needs to solve — heat, glare, UV, privacy or impact resistance — not sold as a one-size-fits-all product.

01 — Residential

Residential Window Tinting

Sliding doors, picture windows and lanai glass gain heat and glare control without changing how the room looks from the street. Film is applied to the interior surface of the glass, so exterior appearance and warranty coverage on the window itself are undisturbed.

02 — Commercial

Commercial Window Film

Storefronts, offices and multi-tenant buildings are scheduled around business hours and handled floor by floor or elevation by elevation, so operations continue while the work happens. Consistency across a full frontage is treated as part of the job, not an afterthought.

03 — Privacy

Decorative & Privacy Film

Frosted bands, etched patterns and reflective privacy film soften sightlines on street-facing glass, office partitions and street-level storefronts, while still letting daylight through. Frosted and etched patterns are decorative — reflective one-way film's privacy effect reverses after dark once interior lights are on.

04 — Safety

Safety & Security Film

Security film bonds a clear polyester layer to the interior of the glass so that, if the glass is struck, fragments are more likely to stay held in the frame rather than scatter. It is one layer of protection on the glass itself — not a substitute for impact-rated glazing, storm shutters, an alarm system or a code-compliant hurricane product.

05 — Solar

Solar Heat-Rejection Film

West-facing and open-water exposures take the hardest solar load in Florida — light arriving directly and again off reflective surfaces. Solar control film is specified to the glass in front of us, after we identify whether it's single-pane, Low-E or impact-rated, since that determines which films are safe to apply.

06 — UV & Glare

UV & Glare Reduction

Beyond comfort, film blocks the majority of the UV spectrum that fades flooring, furniture and artwork, and cuts the harsh glare that makes screens and TVs hard to see midday — a common reason both homes and offices bring us in.

The difference film makes

Same window. Different afternoon.

Untreated glass lets heat, glare and UV straight through. Precision-installed film manages all three, while keeping the glass looking like glass.

  • Less solar heat gain through the glass, easing the load on rooms that face the sun.
  • Reduced glare on screens, TVs and countertops without dimming the room artificially.
  • Most of the UV spectrum blocked, slowing fading on flooring, furniture and artwork.
  • The glass still reads as glass — no mirrored or heavily tinted look unless that's specifically what's wanted.

Privacy without replacing the glass

Clear entry doors. Private entryway.

Frosted film turns exposed front-door glass into a softly diffused privacy surface while continuing to welcome natural light into the entry.

  • Immediate daytime and nighttime privacy without relying on exterior-to-interior light balance.
  • Soft natural light remains while direct views into the foyer are obscured.
  • A clean architectural finish for double entry doors, sidelights and interior glass panels.
Why Precision Film Group

Built on precision. Defined by quality.

"

Window film only works when it's specified for the glass in front of you and installed by hand, correctly, the first time. That's the whole job — identify the glass, choose the right film, and put it on clean. I've been doing that across Florida since 1998, and it's the same standard on a single sliding door or a full commercial elevation.

Florida glass is a different problem than glass anywhere else.

Salt air, direct sun for most of the year, hurricane-adjacent construction and a mix of single-pane, Low-E and impact-rated glazing all on the same street — nothing about Florida glass is generic, and film work here shouldn't be either.

Every project starts with identifying the glass before recommending a film, because the right product for insulated Low-E glazing is often the wrong one for older single-pane glass. That step is what keeps a install from causing a problem it was meant to solve.

Clear impact film helps broken glass stay together.

When ordinary glass breaks, loose shards and an open breach can create immediate danger. Properly specified clear safety and security film is designed to help retain fractured glass, reduce flying fragments and make the opening harder to penetrate quickly after impact. It can add valuable protection against accidents, severe weather debris and forced-entry attempts while preserving a natural, optically clear view.

Impact film improves glass retention and resistance; it does not make glass unbreakable, bulletproof or a substitute for code-rated hurricane glazing. Film selection must match the existing glass and framing system.
How it works

From first call to finished glass.

01

Consultation & glass assessment

We look at the actual glass — single-pane, Low-E, impact-rated — and talk through what's bothering you: heat, glare, privacy or safety.

02

Film recommendation

Based on the glass and the goal, we recommend film that's appropriate for that surface, not a single default product.

03

Professional installation

Film is applied by hand to the interior surface of the glass, scheduled around your home or business hours.

04

Walkthrough & care

We walk the finished glass with you and go over simple care so the film performs for years.

Common questions

Before you call, a few things people ask.

Yes — film manages the solar heat, glare and UV that come straight through untreated glass, which is the majority of what a Florida window deals with most of the year. How much of a difference depends on the glass, the exposure and the film chosen, which is why we assess the glass before recommending anything.

No. Security film bonds to the interior of the glass so fragments are more likely to stay in the frame if the glass is struck. It is one layer of protection, not a substitute for impact-rated glazing, storm shutters, an alarm system or a code-compliant hurricane product.

Reflective privacy film relies on more light outside than inside, so the effect reverses after dark once interior lights are on. If nighttime privacy matters, frosted or etched film is usually the better choice, and we'll say so during the consultation.

A typical residential project is done in a day. Commercial jobs are scoped and scheduled around your operating hours, and larger elevations may be phased across more than one visit — we'll lay out the timeline before work starts.

Yes. Residential and commercial work run on the same standard — we identify the glass, recommend the right film and install it by hand — whether that's one sliding door or a full storefront elevation.

Most heat-rejection and UV film is applied to the interior surface and reads as glass from the street, not as a mirrored or heavily tinted look — unless that appearance is specifically what you're after. We'll show you samples before anything goes on the glass.
